Blog Banner Art Contest over at Dark Future Games
How bad has my final semester of grad school taken me out of the loop? One - I didn't know that the fellas over at Dark Future Games were having a Banner Contest for their blog. Two - I didn't know that Aerion, my brother from another mother, submitted an entry to their contest! What?!? I don't know about you folks, but I find that very cool. There is no voting, since the contributors and friends of DFG will choose the winner, but please go on over to Dark Future Games and look over all the excellent submissions. They have their work cut out for them!
Yes, I have asked Aerion why he submitted an entry to another blog's contest before designing one for our own (heck, I didn't even know he could do that...man of many talents I tell you...) and he assured me that is something within the realm of possibility. I think it will be tough to design a banner for TSE since we have the white background. I'm a huge fan of the white since I find some other blogs a little difficult to read at times, so we'll just have to see what he can come up with!

I guess it takes a contest and bragging rights to motivate. Old school has his work cut out for him choosing a banner. I have seen a bunch of them at the FLGS and the competition is pretty stiff.
Actually my motivation was rooted more in the fact that I appreciate DFG and wanted to contribute, as well as having just discovered some fun things to do in Photoshop. I'll take any excuse to practice so thought I'd see what came of it. And yes, Chosen1, I fully intend to make a banner for us as well. Just needed to discuss the particulars with you when you slog down here to work on the Sallies.
Yeah, we're both fans of DFG over here, and I think any of those banners will add to the look and feel of the blog. I'll be able to sort out times for us to work on the Salamanders after Dec. 10th. If I'm not done with school by then, it's just not getting done. :)
My finals are the week following (one on Tuesday, the other on Thursday). So let's maximize the time we have before the Spring semester starts (mid January). I have the Command Squad built and Greenstuffed, just trying to get a birthday mini and a commission done before I dive into them and the Chapter Commander (painting them at the same time will help with cohesion, even though they're for separate armies).
I understand I play Old School whenever he is at the shop. In fact I play all the guys on a regular basis.
The banner are all good. its a hard decision.
